The story of Natchez Children's Services stretches back to 1816, making it the oldest continuously operating nonprofit in Mississippi. Today, as a Children's Advocacy Center, they provide free services to children ages 3 to 17 who are victims of abuse, neglect, and crime across five counties in southwest Mississippi.

Kejuane Artez Bates was a Vidalia police officer, a pastor, a coach, a mentor, and a community servant who gave everything he had to the people around him. Miss-Lou Champions Spotlight is proud to honor his legacy during National Police Week.
