The story of Natchez Children's Services stretches back to 1816, making it the oldest continuously operating nonprofit in Mississippi. Today, as a Children's Advocacy Center, they provide free services to children ages 3 to 17 who are victims of abuse, neglect, and crime across five counties in southwest Mississippi.

When Joey and Lacy Bryan lost their 11-year-old daughter Lilly-Anne on Thanksgiving Day 2024, they faced every parent's worst nightmare. But in the depths of their grief, they found a way to honor her memory and turn their pain into purpose through Unbridled Love: A Lilly-Anne Bryan Foundation, our May 2026 Non-Profit of the Month.

Natchez Museum of African American Culture and History For Black History Month, Miss-Lou Champions Spotlight is proud to recognize the Natchez Museum of African American Culture and History as our February Non-Profit of the Month. Located in the heart of downtown Natchez, the museum exists to tell the story of African American life, leadership, resilience, and contribution that shaped both the local community and the nation. This museum is not a side note to Natchez history.

The Natchez Stewpot continues to be a point of light for many Natchez residents.
