On Tuesday, November 22, we joined Natchez resident Sherry Skates in Nashville to volunteer for Tracy Lawrence's 16th Annual Mission: Possible Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert. Sherry presented Tracy with a plaque celebrating his 30th year in country music backstage before the show.
Sherry has been following Tracy Lawrence's career from the beginning. They have become friends over the years and she has even been to his home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
The Turkey Fry and benefit concert included volunteers from all over the country, Tennessee Titan cheerleaders, and multiple country music stars, including Tracy Lawrence, Dustin Lynch, Michael Ray, Lainey Wilson and David Tolliver. According to FOX 17 Nashville, since this event began in 2006 it has raised nearly $1 million for the Nashville Rescue Mission and has fried more than 6,400 turkeys to help feed 93,000 homeless men, women and children in middle Tennessee.
